Educationally, Monserrat has pursued a path of continuous learning and innovation, with a commitment to staying informed about the latest developments in design and sustainability. Her notable achievements include being the Lead Designer at Iconic Modern, serving as Co-Chair of the Health, Wellness, and Sustainability Committee for ASID NY Metro for two years, and being recognized with the CREA Award in 2023.
Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident through her involvement with Senom Gallery, an ecommerce startup specializing in curated and sustainable Wall Art & Decor pieces from US-based artists. Through Senom Gallery, she is committed to supporting US-based artists, promoting responsible supply chains, using low-impact materials for framing, and offering conscious packaging.
Monserrat is also actively involved with U Green, an organization dedicated to fostering sustainable innovation and green entrepreneurship. Through her collaboration with U Green, she contributes to educational initiatives, supports eco-conscious design startups, and advances sustainability-driven projects within the built environment.
Additionally, Monserrat shares her insights and expertise as an Executive Senior Contributor to Brainz Magazine, where she writes articles on sustainability, innovation, and leadership in the interior design field.
